A juried show with hundreds of entries, a prominent FEATURED ARTIST, vendors of all kinds (wood, tools, blanks, dust equipment, art supplies and more).   World-class judges perform demonstrations that cover everything in the carving milieu.

Desiree Hajny

Desiree Hajny, has been involved in the arts for most of her life, as a teacher, an author, a contributing editor, as a carver and a
a judge. Her parents were responsible for her early interest in wood and art. Desiree blends the two together with a creative knack.

Her beautiful and ornate carvings of mammals can be found nationally as well as internationally. She has been a full time carver since 1985 and was named Carver of the Year by Woodcarving Illustrated in 2003.

While competing, she received seventeen Best in Show awards and over 100 first place awards. She is currently an emeritus member of Caricature Carvers of America.

Currently, she travels through North America instructing, giving lectures on her art, or serving as a judge in competitions.

Please welcome Desiree Hajny as the Featured Artist of the Florida Winter National.

You will see hundreds and hundreds of beautiful sculptures and other carvings.   For a sample see the photos at the end of this message.   Show begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Entrance fee is $7.00 for one day or $10.00 for a two-day pass.
